The year is 1757 and the Caribbean island of Saint Denis is under the
firm rule of the British West Indian Company. The island is
covered with rich plantations growing exotic crops that are shipped to
European markets where they command high prices. Each plantation
is worked by a small army of slaves under the command of a Slave Master
and the plantation owner or manager. Plantations take it in turn each month to host a evening of boxing where large sums of money are bet on the fighters - usually male slaves selected by the various Slave Masters for their strength and agility. But the highlight of the day's entertainment is a fight between two naked slave women. Turn are a small selection of thumbnails of the action: |
