Continued from Stockade Revisited part 2: Richard spent the evening arranging the rental of a portable generator and some lights to illuminate the Stockade for the night fight between Elena and Kate. While he was waiting for the generator to be delivered Richard took another look at his ancestor's diary. In it he found a reference of a midnight "anything goes" boxing match where the pugilists fought bare fisted and stripped to the waist with their torsos oiled. This passage excited Richard and so he persuaded Kate and Elena to fight in the same way. It was nearly midnight by the time he had everything ready and the crowd were assembled to watch the fight...... |
