Victor Ludorum
 Part 1
by Merlin

Dingwall College has been in existence for several hundred years and over that period some unique traditions have evolved.  None is more unique to the college than the annual nude wrestling contest to select a "Victor Ludorum" (Latin for "winner of the games") from amongst the final year students.  The four houses that make up the college (the Red, Green, Blue and Yellow Houses) each select their best fighter in two weight categories - lightweight and heavyweight.  Then competitions are held to determine the Victor Ludorum for each weight category.

Originally the college was an all-male establishment, but in the 1960s it started to accept women who were also organised in 4 houses - Hope, Faith, Charity and Love.  In time the women demanded to have their own Victrix Ludorum competition.  Initially this was refused by the college authorities, but eventually they relented and the women's competition was established with the competitors wearing leotards.  However, as the years past the women demanded more equality with the men and so in 2003 the women's Victrix Ludorum competition was also held in the nude for the first time.  Now in 2011 the women have won another equality right and for the first time the men's lightweight male Victor Ludorum will fight the female Victrix Ludorum to gain the title for the whole college.
(Editor's note:  All competitors depicted in this event are over 18 years of age)

Here are a small selection of pictures from the three fights (two male fights and one female) featured in this part of the story.
